About the School

Blue Bells Model School was founded on November 10, 1980 with the prime aim of ushering in transformational changes in education. The commitment and conviction of our Founder members, Shri B.D. Gulati Ji – Founder Chairperson, Shri Mahesh Chandra Ji – Chairman and Founder Principal, and Director Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati , was beyond all boundaries as they aimed at setting up a ‘school with a difference.’ D.R. Memorial Bal Shiksha Vikas Society was formulated as the Apex Body of the School and innovative practices were adopted, moving away from the traditional Black & Board teaching to Activity-based learning. The paradigm shift from mere cognitive growth to holistic development with due impetus on academic excellence and enhancement of soft skills is the pedagogy of the school where every pupil is motivated to explore the ‘Self’ and due recognition is given to their inherent potentials and unique talents.

As the institution grew, research-based learning and innovation became the hallmarks of the teaching-learning process. Project-based and experiential learning through hands-on activities are adopted as learning strategies. Over the years, Blue Bellians have made a mark for themselves by consistently giving the best results in CBSE Board Examinations, upscaling the graph by churning out region and city toppers.

The school also takes pride in being the first private school in Gurgaon to introduce N.C.C. for both boys and girls and open the gateways for a self-regulated and self-disciplined life. The initiative furthered the mission of the school to provide a strong footing of moral and ethical values to the students so that they grow up as conscientious and humane personalities. The school has also been enrolled for Boy Scouts and Guides. No professional arena has been left untouched as they have carved a niche for themselves both nationally and internationally as world-class engineers, doctors, fashion designers, civil servants, and are also ardently serving the nation in the defence forces.

In an effort to keep pace with updated teaching methodologies, the school has set up its own Learning and Development Space for continuous upgradation of learning pedagogy and has a meticulously designed and planned Health and Wellness Programme for the socio-emotional empowerment of the students. The latest in technology are the buzzwords in school with students meeting international standards. In an ongoing effort towards progressive learning, Blue Bells Model School has always believed in keeping its flagship high with a clear vision aligned with 21st-century skills. One of the key elements for the same is providing exposure to vocational education. In pursuance of the same, the school has introduced skill subjects like Design and Innovation, Design Thinking, Coding, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science across all classes. Home Science, Painting, Vocal Music, and Fashion Studies are other skill-based subjects offered at the senior secondary level.

To keep pace with the changing times and meet the needs of Education 5.0, the school curriculum is programmed around learning by doing by connecting learning with real-life experiences through a wide range of innovative teaching practices like Blended Learning, Flipped Classrooms, and Project-Based Learning. Through their remarkable achievements in multiple spheres, Blue Bellians have proven time and again that they are holistically groomed. In sync, the school is ranked 4th Co-Ed Day School in Gurugram, 11th in Delhi NCR, and 17th at the All India level by the Education World All India School Ranking 2025–26.

Blue Bells Model School has also proved its commitment to excellence by securing remarkable ranks in Education World Grand Jury India School Ranking 2025–26 in the category “Design Thinking and Experiential Learning Leader”:

India #3,

Haryana #1,

Gurugram #1.

From scholastic to co-scholastic, students have exhibited their versatility at national as well as international levels. Blue Bells Model School thus stands as a phenomenal ambassador of transformational change.

From The Director’s Desk

At the very onset I would like to quote the words of Robin Sharma who beautifully puts across the thought, “Each one of us is born into genius. Sadly, most of us die amid mediocrity.” As the children of God, we are indeed blessed because He sends us on this earth with the inherent potential to pursue the purpose, He has designed for each one of us to accomplish during our physical journey. But unfortunately, most of us keep grappling with our daily chores and running after materialistic needs to add to our physical comfort and in pursuance of the same we fail to realize the real purpose of our life. We then spend our entire life in mediocrity and envying the achievements of others with the perpetual complaint that God bestowed on him or her His choicest blessings and made him/her the gifted one depriving me of those special capabilities. The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any. The need is to understand and realize your inherent potential and add value to whatever you are doing in life. In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. here, “If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets as Michelangelo painted or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, “Here lived a great sweeper who did his job well.” You don’t always have to be a Leader with A Title, if you are doing your best in your own simple way, you are a leader in your own capacity.

Ralph Charell has rightly put across, “Nobody succeeds beyond his or her wildest expectations unless he or she begins with some wild expectations,” so never underestimate your thoughts and dreams and drive them away as wild dreams. All dreams are achievable in life if one musters the courage and the passion to pursue them. Only with the courage of conviction, a deep sense of self-realization and a strong value system can one achieve the unachievable and transform every challenge into an opportunity. The sense of accomplishment and achievement is the most gratifying feeling in life and the greatest gift one can offer to others is the sight of an achievement in one’s life. Never be afraid of thinking big yet start small; take those tiny little steps each day and eventually you will get to success. Avoid running after rewards because success will automatically come by performing those little advancements with consistency. Always remember, ‘small daily improvements-over time-lead to stunning results.

God bless you all with success and achievement in life.
