In a day, a child spends one fourth of his time in school and three fourths of his time with his parents. Understanding this fact, parents should never think that by sending their ward to a good school, they have got rid of their responsibilities. The parents and the teachers work in partnership for the all-round development of a child. It is important to teach students to respect school discipline and be proud of it.
Regularity
- Regular attendance is essential for a child's academic growth. Parents are requested to ensure that their ward reports to school on the scheduled reopening day after vacations and at the commencement of every new term.
- Parents are encouraged to monitor their child's daily learning by revising classwork, ensuring timely completion of homework, and actively participating in their academic journey. Assignments and projects should be submitted within the prescribed deadlines, as they form an important component of the overall assessment.
- Important information regarding examinations, holidays, Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), and academic planning is communicated through the School ERP portal, e-mails, and the school website. Parents are advised to review these resources regularly to stay well informed.
Communication
- Parents should check their child's School Almanac and e-mails every day for notices, remarks, and instructions issued by teachers or the school administration. The almanac should be signed daily as an acknowledgement that the information has been read.
- All written correspondence should be addressed to the Principal through the Class Teacher. Kindly mention the student's admission number, class, and section in every communication.
- Parents must promptly notify the school of any changes in residential address, contact numbers, or employment details by submitting a written application through the Class Teacher.
- The school portal and official website should be visited regularly for updates on school events, circulars, academic information, and other important announcements.
- Parents may meet the Principal or teachers only during the designated visiting hours.
- Appointments with the Principal should be scheduled in advance to facilitate meaningful discussion and ensure adequate time is available.
- Parents may communicate concerns related to their child's academic progress, co-curricular performance, behaviour, or any other school-related matter through the School Almanac. If the issue remains unresolved within three working days, parents may write to the Principal via email or seek a prior appointment with the Wing Incharge, Vice Principal, or Principal, depending upon the nature of the concern.
- To ensure clarity and avoid misunderstandings, the school communicates directly with parents regarding academic, behavioural, and administrative matters rather than through guardians.
Parent Responsibilities
- Parents are requested to label all personal belongings of their child with the student's name, admission number, class, and section.
- It is advisable to spend quality time reviewing your child's notebooks and classwork, particularly during weekends, to monitor learning and provide necessary support.
- Leave during working days should be avoided except in unavoidable circumstances. In the event of absence, parents are responsible for ensuring that their child completes all missed classwork and remains academically aligned with classmates.
- Students should not bring expensive or valuable items to school. While every effort will be made to locate misplaced belongings, the school cannot accept responsibility for any loss.
- Parents are requested not to provide unnecessary cash to their children. Students who wish to purchase snacks from the school canteen may carry up to ₹50 per day. Any excess amount found may be retained by the school.
Safety & Security
- For the safety of young learners, especially students from Class III to V, parents are requested to personally escort their children to and from the designated bus stop.
- Parents visiting the school during working days or Parent-Teacher Meetings must carry their School Identity Card. Entry may be restricted in its absence.
- Students will not ordinarily be allowed to leave the school during school hours. In case of an emergency, only a parent or an authorised person whose photograph is registered in the Student’s Icard may collect the child after submitting a written request. The school should also be informed telephonically in advance.
- Students using personal two-wheelers must comply with all applicable traffic regulations, including wearing helmets, carrying a valid driving licence where applicable, and using only vehicles permitted under the Traffic Police guidelines. Responsibility for such transportation rests entirely with the parents.
- Parents are encouraged to instil discipline, responsibility, and respect for school property in their children. Any act of misconduct, indiscipline, or damage to school property may invite appropriate disciplinary action.
- Parents and guardians are requested not to enter classrooms or meet students and teachers during instructional hours.
General Guidelines
- Parents are requested not to seek half-day leave for their child except in genuine emergencies. If a child is unwell, it is advisable to allow adequate rest at home rather than sending the child to school. Social events such as family functions, birthdays, or other personal engagements should be planned after school hours whenever possible.
- Should a student fall ill or sustain an injury during school hours, the school will immediately inform the parents, who may then collect the child for further medical attention if required.
