Nurturing confidence, building resilience, and guiding
young minds as they step into new beginnings.”
The transition from the Primary to the Middle School
years represents a significant milestone in a student’s academic and personal development,
accompanied by new responsibilities, environments, and expectations.
Recognising the importance of this phase, the Health & Wellness Programme,
under the aegis of ADEPT—A Program for Enhancing Life Skills, organised a
thoughtfully designed Transition Session for Grade VI students on April 16,2026
at Blue Bells Model School.
This meaningful initiative, under visionary leadership
of Dr. Alka Saxena, reflects a committed and indigenous approach to ensuring a
smooth, confident, and well-supported progression into the Middle Wing.
The session commenced with an energizer which set the
tone for the day. Students actively participated in a collaborative
collage-making exercise, creatively expressing their thoughts and feelings
about entering the Middle School environment.
Building on these
insights, an engaging and experiential learning session was conducted to
address students’ concerns and queries related to the academic pattern.
Facilitators led interactive discussions centred on self-awareness, adaptability,
and effective communication, as essential life skills that enable students to
build meaningful relationships and adjust successfully to new surroundings. The
session was further enriched by the involvement of Peer Educators of previous
session, who shared their personal experiences and insights on how life skills
supported their own transition journeys. By fostering readiness, resilience,
and social-emotional competence, the programme empowers students to embrace
change with confidence and optimism.
