Talent wins games but teamwork wins championship
Games and sports aim at imparting lessons on sportsman spirit and camaraderie to children. Good sportsmanship provides guidelines that can be inculcated in students for lifelong achievements. Blue Bells Model School, Gurgaon, organized Annual Sorts Meet ‘Oorja-Chhoo Lo Aasman’ on January 28, 2015 with all its vigour and enthusiasm. The day’s proceeding commenced with the hoisting of the School Flag and Athletic Meet Flag by Ms. Chandan Dhawan, Principal of the school. The oath was taken by Parth Kataria, Sport’s Captain – Primary Wing. March past by different houses lent a spectacular sight and the Principal took the salute. The melody of the group song ‘Khel Khel Mein’ energized everyone’s spirit. The Meet was then officially declared open by the Principal. The students participated and exhibited their zeal and gusto in various sports events like ball tray relay, 100mtr and 200mtr races for boys and girls, skipping, slow cycle race and flat race. The students’ performance in martial arts, mass drill and pyramid formation enthralled the audience and enlivened the atmosphere. The students also tapped their feet to the music in ‘Tapping Toes’ and Yoga Aerobics performance ‘Spiritual Rhythm’ mesmerized the audience. The ‘Savera’ students also added spice to the mega event by performing a well choreographed dance on ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’. Through sheer determination and excellent performance the students of Mother Teresa House won the championship trophy. Ms. Chandan Dhawan addressed the students of the school highlighting the importance of games and sports in student’s life. She felicitated the winners of various events by giving away the medals.The event culminated with lowering of the school flag and singing the national anthem.
