In the words of Oprah Winfrey,  , “Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody’s going to know whether you did it or not.”  In sync with the vision to inculcate and infuse the sense of righteousness along with problem solving and decision making skills , Blue Bells Model School observed Vigilance Awareness Week from  October 22 to October  25, 2019 . The theme of the Vigilance Awareness Week this year was “Integrity – A Way of Life ” to create awareness about the role of preventive vigilance in combating corruption and enhancing accountability at various levels.

Various activities were organized for students of Middle & Senior Wing  as per the  guidelines from the Central Vigilance Commission, an apex integrity institution of the country in its endeavour to promote transparency, probity and integrity. A Special Assembly was organized wherein the students of the school administered the Integrity Pledge. Thereafter, the students took the initiative to clean the malign practice of the use of Single Use Plastics and worked as a single cohesive unit to  showcase their integrity to clean their school and surroundings and make it a “Litter Free and Single Used Plastic Free Zone.” Cyclothon and Walkathon on the same was organized to sensitize and internalize the concept.  In furtherance of this mission, the students also designed a Google Form – Our Choking Earth to collect the responses of their parents and teachers for research.

An essay writing competition on the  theme –‘ INTEGRITY :IS IT A LOFTY IDEAL OR A VISIBLE REALITY ‘was successfully organized for Classes  XI-XII students. The school whole hearted joined the movement of creating awareness among students regarding corruption as a social evil. A befitting close to the event was a Guest Lecture by Mr. Rakshit Tandon, Cyber Security Expert and Trainer on how to combat corruption using technology tool.
